What I'm doing now
As of August 2026, these are the priorities getting most of my attention:
- Working as an AI Associate at Crossbeam in San Francisco, building Trace — a fully AI-derived dataset that maps the products, technologies, and partnerships companies use, without relying on user-shared CRM data. Built AI-first and MCP-first so agents can query it directly via APIs, powering features like Open Data Partners.
- Building toward an AI Engineer role through applied systems work: fine-tuning, eval infrastructure, and distributed training.
- Building Bukra on the side — a cross-border transport platform for Africa (bus tickets, flights, parcel shipments) live across six countries.
- Iterating on ml-eval-harness, a small framework for comparing local LLMs across exact-match, token-F1, and LLM-as-judge metrics.
What I'm not doing
To make room for the work that matters most, I am intentionally avoiding:
- Chasing new side projects beyond Bukra and the day job.
- Spreading attention across too many unrelated side projects.
